The Product Marketing Manager will have the responsibility of correctly positioning network and application performance management products in the marketplace. This position will work closely with Product Development, Sales, and Marketing to accurately communicate our software and hardware products to customers and prospects.
We are looking for a dynamic, sharp, and motivated professional who can take initiative and work across numerous disciplines. He/she will also be asked to research and listen to existing customers, prospects, and the market at large and provide ideas for product strategy and direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Build targeted business plans / go-to-market plans for products
- Develop product positioning and messaging
- Work closely with the development and marketing teams on coordinating product launches
- Train sales staff and channel partners on key attributes, benefits of products and specifically:
- How customers use our products
- What problems customer face that require the use of our products
- What benefits they may realize from our products
- Serve as a product champion and company spokesperson at industry and customer events
- Establish customer use examples – provide proof points for sales and marketing needs
- Help write, review product marketing materials
- Monitor and post industry content and discussions
- Work closely with industry analysts on product positioning and education
- Recognize trends that may impact (positively or negatively) our industry
- Create and maintain competitive research
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally for product launches and roadshows
Key Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in related field (computer science, engineering, business)
- 7 or more years experience in product marketing, business, and marketing planning (preferably with IT Management Software)
- Must have technical fluency in network monitoring, management, and analysis technology
- Strong presentation skills

Network Instruments is currently seeking a Territory Manager to manage and oversee the direct and partner channel for the Raleigh Durham territory. This position’s responsibilities include:
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities
- Follow up on leads generated by marketing campaigns
- Exceed revenue targets for assigned territories
- Give presentations and provide demonstrations to match Network Instruments solutions with identified needs
- Develop channel partners and maximize their capability to sell, promote, and support Network Instruments products

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, OR EXPERIENCE
The individual must be able to demonstrate:
- A minimum of five years of networking industry experience and two years of territory sales experience
