Electrical Engineer

The Position:

Network Instruments LLC is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of implementing high speed FPGA design using VHDL and designing high-speed electronic circuits.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bring cutting edge high-speed FPGA designs from specification to final production
  • Define and research components for use in design
  • Schematic entry and management using Orcad
  • Work with PCB layout designers for layout and checking the board files for correctness
  • Bring final design through regulatory testing

The individual must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of VHDL design and verification

Hardware Assembly Technician

The Hardware Assembly Technician assembles, tests and repairs all production assemblies, sub-assemblies and components.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive and interpret sales orders and hardware work orders. Follow documented and verbally communicated guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform hand assembly operations necessary for the assembly and repair of all past, current and future Network Instruments' product assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
  • Inspect and test assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and power tools.
  • Correct for errors in own work.
  • Disassemble, reassemble, correct changeover, clean, and finish assemblies or sub-assemblies.
  • Install Windows Operating Systems. Create, backup, and maintain OS images.
  • Install, uninstall, update, and configure computer software and hardware device drivers.
  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot software, component hardware, and device driver issues.
  • Verify part numbers and labels, and package items using appropriate shipping materials.
  • Responsible for verifying own work is in compliance with both documented and verbally communicated guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform record-keeping duties, both paper and electronic database.
  • Report recognized defective material and equipment to manager.
  • Utilize safety equipment and observes all safety rules and practices.

Marketing Coordinator

The Position:

Network Instruments is currently seeking a highly organized and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing team.

Responsibilities include:

Vendor Management

Work with assigned vendors to ensure best pricing, quality, and efficiency for all orders of print materials and giveaways:

  • Take ownership of inventory levels
  • Fulfill orders from sales and partners
  • Price and reorder as needed
Reporting

Work with program owners to compile Marketing Reports as needed on regular intervals for marketing management (ex: Adwords, Website, Marketo)

  • Receive statistics and reports from program owners
  • Collect and create consistency in formatting and delivery
  • Ensure reports are delivered on time and error free
Project Management

Work with program owners to track project completion on large-scale campaign rollouts

  • Track project progress and completion
  • Report on project issues or delays
  • Update project plans as needed
Finance and Accounting Liaison

Serve as point person with accounting/finance for all invoices and billing

  • Record and submit all management approved invoices and payments
  • Accurately maintain records for marketing budgeting purposes

Assist in the development of network protocol analysis and network management software systems. The primary software platform is Windows XP, Windows 7, Server 2003/2008 and newer.

Technical Support

The Position:

Network Instruments is currently seeking candidates with excellent verbal, written, and computer skills to join our Technical Support team. Our technical support department focuses on providing high quality support to our customer base via telephone, email and our user forums. We provide network analysis tools, both hardware and software, to network professionals for baselining and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver service and support to end-users by interacting with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.
  • Gather customer information and determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms.
  • Use effective research techniques to find solutions via internal and external resources.
  • Document findings and relevant case data in support information systems.
  • Offer alternative solutions, where appropriate, with the objective of solving the customer's issue.
  • Organize ideas and communicate effectively with customers, technically skilled network engineers and engineering colleagues.
  • Effectively manage the customer support experience.  Manage case load, priorities, time commitments and service level agreements (SLA).
  • Complete QA test cases; manage workload and priorities to achieve SLA goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • CCNA or an AA in Networking or equivalent experience.
  • Able to manage and resolve complex customer issues.
  • 2 years of customer support and troubleshooting, or equivalent experience. 
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the OSI Model with emphasis on layers 4-7
