NETWORK INSTRUMENTS® OPENS MUNICH OFFICE
Company’s Newest Location to Boost Sales and Support Targeted Accounts in Central Europe

Minneapolis, MN - May 2, 2005 - Network Instruments, the leading developer of network analysis, monitoring and management solutions announced today the opening of a new sales office in Munich, Germany. This new location will offer greater support to local partners and distributors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Munich marks the fifth new office opening for Network Instruments in the past year, for a combined total of 11 worldwide offices.

Ales Mahler, the new territory manager in Central Europe, will head the Munich office. Mahler has over seven years of sales experience in the IT industry throughout Central and Eastern Europe, including his most recent position as sales manager for Fluke Networks.

“The region covering Germany, Switzerland and Austria is one of the largest and most important markets in Europe,” Mahler said. “As this sector continues to grow its technology infrastructure, demand for network analysis solutions that can manage this growth continues to increase at a rapid rate. IT managers greatly appreciate the scalability, performance and technical excellence of Network Instruments’ products. In addition, Network Instruments has built a reputation for offering the best price-to-performance ratio in the market.”

Ian Cummins, director of European sales for Network Instruments, said he is certain the new market opportunity will prove successful.

“Our flagship product, Observer®, is gaining momentum in Europe, and we’re confident Mahler’s valuable experience and strong local connections will aid in increasing market share,” Cummins said.

Munich is the fourth international location for Network Instruments following London, Paris and Toronto. In 2004, international sales grew 31 percent while overall growth exceeded 25 percent. Observer, the award-winning network analyzer, designed for enterprise, multi-topology networks, drives company sales growth. Since the company was founded in 1994, over 35,000 Observer licenses have been sold.
