Network Instruments® Adds Three U.S. Offices to Meet Demand

New offices open in New York City, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles

May 9, 2007 – Minneapolis, MN – Network Instruments, a leading provider of innovative analysis solutions for in-depth network intelligence and continuous availability, today announced the opening of three new offices serving the New York City, Pennsylvania, and Los Angeles areas in response to a significant rise in sales from these regions.

Network Instruments reported 26 percent growth in revenue for 2006. The new offices serve to continue this momentum and increase market share.

Network Instruments’ revenue growth has been bolstered in recent quarters by new product releases and upgrades, as well as a significant upswing in sales of the GigaStor™ appliance. The GigaStor captures and stores terabytes worth of network data at line rate, and is commonly used for troubleshooting intermittent problems as well as security and forensics applications. 

In the last quarter, Network Instruments released Observer® 12, the latest update to its signature network analysis solution, and the new Observer Reporting Server. Observer 12 boasts security forensics functionality for use with the GigaStor, MPLS analysis, VoIP support expansion to include Avaya and Nortel UNIStim, and expanded Application Analysis. Observer Reporting Server can simultaneously collect data from numerous Observer Probes, NetFlow devices, and other collection agents throughout the network.
