Install the Advanced Probe Appliance on any switch on your local or remote network. Connect a single Observer console to the Probe via TCP/IP to monitor and troubleshoot all traffic.

ADVANCED PROBE APPLIANCE–SOFTWARE OPTIONS
Choose an Advanced Probe Appliance pre-loaded with one of the following software
options: Advanced Single Probe, Advanced Multi-Probe or RMON/HCRMON.

Advanced Single Probe
   • Packet capture and decode
   • Network statistics
   • Real-time data collection
   • Long-term trending and reporting
   • Full password protection of data and redirection
   • Automatic updates of remote probes
   • Software is pre-loaded and pre-configured for quick installation

Advanced Multi-Probe
The Advanced Multi-Probe offers all of the features of the Advanced Single Probe plus
additional advantages for enterprise-level remote monitoring:
   • Initiate up to 64 sessions simultaneously for a multi-faceted view of data flow
   • Multiple Observer consoles can view the same Probe at the same time for greater problem solving abilities
   • Support 3DES encryption option for data transfer
   • Offer different administrators different levels of probe access for added security

RMON/HCRMON Probe
Choose to configure the Advanced Probe Appliance to operate as an RMON/HCRMON
Probe. Some benefits include:
   • Full adherence to RMON1, RMON2 and High Capacity RMON (HCRMON) standards
   • Compatible to any RMON management console or collection facility
     (Observer Suite, OpenView, Concord, NetScout, Micromuse, BMC Dashboard Patrol, etc.)

Single Port Advanced Single Probe
Allows for single session to view traffic on a single 10/100/1000 network segment

Single Port Advanced Multi-Probe
Allows for multiple sessions, by multiple users on a single 10/100/1000 network segment

Dual Port Advanced Multi-Probe
Allows for multiple sessions, by multiple users on two 10/100/1000 network segments
