Can not see wireless Observer modes
When using Observer in a wireless environment, you must install and use the Network Instruments supplied wireless drivers for your specific NIC.

If you do not use the specific wireless driver, and try to use Observer with the manufacturers supplied driver, Windows will tell Observer that the driver is a standard Ethernet driver, and Observer will believe it is looking at an Ethernet. In this case you will see that your Probe (either local or remote) will be listed under "Advanced Probes". To function as a Wireless adapter, the Probe must be listed under "Wireless Advanced Probes".

When the proper driver is installed, and the adapter is selected on startup, the Probe will automatically be listed under "Wireless Advanced Probes".

For information on installing wireless drivers, please see the Observer help file, or user guide.
