Notes on the Cisco Catalyst 2900 Switch’s mini-RMON Probe
The following list shows which RMON Extension modes are supported using the internal mini-RMON included in the Cisco Catalyst 2900 switch.

Note that internal RMON Probe reports that it is ”RMON1” but is not a complete implementation of RMON1. Therefore a number of modes are not available.

Additionally, since the ”mini-RMON” in the Cisco switches do not support the history group, all metrics are reported as averages based on the Observer Probe’s statistics report period (found in Observer’s ”Settings”, ”Probe Options”, ”Statistics report (refresh) period” item). This is opposed to second by second readings for switches that support the history group.
