Notes on the HP ProCurve 212M Switch’s mini-RMON Probe
The following list shows which RMON Extension modes are supported using the internal mini-RMON included in the HP ProCurve 212M.

It is recommended that you update the switch’s firmware to at least version 5.10 prior to using the internal mini-RMON probe.

Note that internal RMON Probe reports that it is “RMON1” but is not a complete implementation of RMON1. Therefore a number of modes are not available. One nice addition HP added to their implementation of “mini-RMON” is the history group. This addition allows all metrics are reported second by second (as opposed to average readings based on the Probe report period for switches that do not support the history group). This second by second reporting is available regardless of the RMON Extensions reporting period.
